Fans eager for Serena Williams boyfriend news will have to wait further.

Williams was highly successful at the US Open Championships, winning the gold overall and ranking as the top female tennis player in the world. However, fans continued to wonder whether her personal life was as successful.

According to VCpost.com, rumors surfaced throughout 2014 that Serena Williams boyfriend was Patrick Mouratoglou, her French coach. A German tabloid even alleged that the American was expecting a baby with Mouratoglou. More rumors circulated that the tennis star was resorting to drugs and alcohol due to the overwhelming stress.

The rumored relationship became public in 2013 when tennis star Maria Sharapova responded to Serena calling her "boring". Sharapova said, "Maybe she should talk about her relationship and her boyfriend that was married and is getting a divorce and has kids."

In a report by Pagesix.com, before the US Open, Serena and Mouratoglou were spotted practicing and looking cozy at Bagatelle in New York. They had oysters, truffled chicken and crab salad for dinner before returning to their hotel. One onlooker said, "They seemed very intimate and they didn't stop chatting all night. They headed back to their hotel after about an hour and a half."

Williams, however, continues to deny that she and her coach are romantically involved. There was no Serena Williams boyfriend according to a tweet from the star after the US Open, "To answer all your questions I'm single and I have been single so the speculations can stop."

Instead, Williams showed that she has no issues being the third wheel by going on a Miami trip in September 2014 with good pal Eva Longoria and her boyfriend, media mogul Jose Antonio Baston. The two girlfriends put on their bikinis and sunglasses and spent a day at the beach, chatting and lounging. Mouratoglou as well as Serena's sister, Venus, was nowhere in sight.
