Gina Carano’s UFC Deal: Henry Cavill’s Girlfriend Has No Immediate Title Shot? President Dana White Unsure She’s Ronda Rousey’s Next Fight Opponent

Gina Carano's UFC deal is still in limbo as there's nobody yet in the horizon to fight her in the Octagon. President Dana White is reportedly unsure if Henry Cavill's girlfriend will be Ronda Rousey's next opponent.

According to Sports World News, Gina Carano's UFC deal has been rumored to be signed in the past few months but there's no progress yet on the contract.

"If and when she does enter the UFC, many expect Carano to fight women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey for the title," the website noted. "Rousey has openly stated that she wants Carano to be her next opponent."

Dana White also told reporters that with all the talks about Gina Carano's UFC deal, he really believed at one point that Henry Cavill's girlfriend would be in the running as Ronda Rousey's next fight opponent for the title, but during the post-fight press conference on Saturday's UFC 177 in Sacramento, he confessed, "I don't know now."

However, when talking about Gina Carano UFC deal, Dana White was more optimistic.

"There's just one more little thing (in the negotiations) "It's close, but it'll be done (before the end of the year)," he said, according to MMA Junkie.

Gina Carano's UFC deal should be interesting since the former Strikeforce champion lost her title in August 2009. But she seems to be transitioning toward Hollywood appearing in movies such as "Fast & Furious 6" and "Haywire."

Dana White told MMA Junkie  that Cat Zingano won the right to be Ronda Rousey's next fight opponent after a beatdown on Miesha Tate during the TUF 17 finale last year. Zingano is also on her way to a comeback following a knee surgery.

It's also reported that Bethe Correia would be the next opponent for Ronda Rousey after the former defeated the "Expendables" star's training partner Shayna Baszler, as well as Holly Holm.

Ronda Rousey earlier told Yahoo Sports Yahoo Sports that she wants to fight Gina Carano or Cat Zingano.

"I talked to her (Zingano) personally and I was like, 'One day we are going to have the title fight that you deserve. I'm going to beat you, but we're going to have it," she said.
