Typeform Claims An Average of Fifty-Five Percent of Respondents Complete A Typeform Survey And Forty Percent Are Using A Mobile Phone For Doing It

In a funding initiative led by London-based VC Connect Ventures, Typeform, the Spanish startup known for creating user-friendly surveys and other types of online forms, including payments has raised a €1.2 million in addition to the €550,000 previously raised by the Barcelona-based startup. Participants in the initiative include Point Nine Capital, RTA ventures along with Mariusz Gralewski, CEO and founder of DocPlanner.

Typeform's service aims at facilitating creation of device agnostic webform. The focus is not solely on ensuring great looks and good user experience, thus increasing engagement. Aided with state-of-the-art web standards, it works across numerous devices, in particular touch screen phones and tablets.

Founded by David Okuniev and Robert Munoz, it exited Beta version this year in February.

The outcome is beautiful looking forms that target the user by posing one question or four elements at one time. This helps increasing completion rates and also diminishes the agony of data entry as well as form creation.

Typeform claims that 55 percent of respondents are actually completing a Typeform and 40 percent of respondents are doing it employing a mobile device, something, Typeform claims is exceptional in the industry. Though the claims can't be verified based on hearsay, the startup service's forms do seem to be years ahead of the Dot.com that still features late 90s-style forms.

Formisimo is another startup that is helping to fix this issue by handling it from the analytics end. It employs its form analytics service which helps site owners to enhance performance of forms by analysing where the users are making mistakes.

Typeform can boast customers like Facebook, Uber, Aurbnb, Adobe, WeTransfer, New York Times, BBC and Financial Times. Typeform told TechCrunch that it reached a whooping total of 100,000 users as of August 2014; more than 160,000 user-created Typeforms received over 13 million unique visits and 7 million responses.

Typeform's Pedro Magriço said, "Our strongest selling points are high completion rates, design flexibility, cross-device responsiveness, unlimited free plan and great paid features."

He further added, "We want Typeform to be the solution for all your data and payment collection needs and we're after entrepreneurs with no coding skills wanting to sell anything online."
