5 Best ZE:A Songs To Listen To

ZE:A's leader Lee Hoo (Moon Junyoung) recently took to Twitter in order to air his greivences with Star Empire's management, particularly singling out the CEO. While Lee Hoo and the CEO reconciled, and reevaluated ZE:A's contract, the group is still making headlines in a way that it hasn't in the past.

Here are a few of ZE:A's best songs that you should be listening to.

"Ghost Of The Wind" (2013)

"Ghost Of The Wind" is one of the best, if not the best, ZE:A song. With electronic instrumentals and strings in the background, mixing the elements of choral and orchestra elements with the dance melodies that ZE:A does the best. The song enables all nine members of ZE:A to showcase their individual voices, which the group lacks in some songs. It also perfectly expresses the feeling of someone who feels as if they're dead after breaking up with someone.

 "Here I Am" (2011)

With a cute, romantic concept for "Here I Am," ZE:A diverged from the usual powerful image that the group has obtained. It's a bit too much to take, but the innocent sound of the song shows the versatility of the group to go with anything. A little bit corny, but "Here I Am" shows a softer side to ZE:A than most other songs that the nine perform.

"Phoenix" (2012)

A funky dance song that has an addicting tune, this may compete with "Ghost Of The Wind" as ZE:A's most enjoyable song. It's fun, and very much a typical K-Pop dance song. "Phoenix" has a powerful, upbeat sound that will leave you humming, "firebird, firebird" all day long. The song itself is empowering, with lyrics about being inexhaustible even in the face of hardship, which ZE:A has lived up to.

"Step By Step" (2013)

Unlike the previous songs on this list, which were powerful dance songs and a soft cute song, "Step By Step" is a more soft, lyrical dance song, combining the best of both worlds. The members' vocals are clear and crisp and not competing to heavy music elements as the members sing about being in love and being unable to confess, but even so promising to always be only a few steps away.

"Fiancée" (2013)

ZE:A Five (comprised of Siwan, Minwoo, Hyungsik, Dongjun, and Siwan) released an album, and the gem of it is "Fiancee." It's a happy summer song and pretty basic, but the members' vocals really get a chance to shine when they're not competing with four other singers.
