Getafe will face off against rival Córdoba on Friday, placing two of La Liga BBVA's closely followed teams against each other.

Getafe, currently ranked number 14 in the league's standings, is expected to be the favorite in the match. Córdoba, ranked number 20 in the league, is expected to be the underdog in the match.

Controversy surrounds La Liga BBVA as Atlético Madrid captain Gabi Fernández admitted being involved in the alleged fixing of Real Zaragoza's 2-1 defeat of Levante in 2011.

"I did what the club asked me to," Fernández told El Mundo during a recent interview.

There are a total of ten matches scheduled for Week 7 of La Liga BBVA's season schedule.
