VIXX Drops Comeback Teasers - Ghost or Futuristic Concept?

VIXX has released the main teaser image for their upcoming second mini-album comeback, and it is giving quite the spooky vibe.

The animated teaser shows what looks to be VIXX member Hongbin facing a copy of himself. One of the Hongbin images then walks away with an ominous message of "Let me free..."

Fans have noted that this could very well be a ghost concept. In Korean mythology, ghosts can appear as reflections. Ghosts are also usually described as spirits that linger on Earth because of an unresolved task or grudge. This could explain the "Let me free..." line where the ghost is seeking help to finally rest and proceed to the underworld.

VIXX has carved a reputation for taking on dark concepts with much gusto, so if there is any K-Pop boy group that can pull off a ghost concept, it will be them.

VIXX began their streak of dark concepts in the "On and On" MV where they played as vampires. During promotions, they sported very heavy eye makeup and wore vampire contact lenses to inhabit their supernatural characters.

They then ventured into schizophrenic territory with a Jekyll and Hyde concept in the "Hyde" MV.

But arguably their most popular dark concept was the creepy voodoo doll concept for the "Voodoo Doll" MV. The song earned the group their first-ever music show win on Music Bank.

There is also a possibility that the VIXX comeback will have a futuristic concept, based on a special video teaser from member Leo:

With a wistful piano tune and a starry sky serving as a video background, where Leo says:

"The future, the possibility. The things that we haven't shown yet... October 14, 2014. VIXX's 2nd Mini Album. VIXX is going to show other possibilities."

Right now the concept can go either way. We will know for sure when the VIXX 2nd Mini Album drops online on October 14 midnight. The MV will be released one hour after.

Which one would you prefer, a ghost or a futuristic concept?
