Liverpool will face off against rival West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Liverpool, coming out of a 1-1 tie with Everton, is expected to be the underdog of the match.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said more pain will come to his "unrecognisable" team, The Guardian reports.

"It's hard for the supporters [to hear of transition] and I understand that. It must be so difficult at the moment to see a team that for 18 months has been so fluent and dynamic. Now they probably look and see a team with maybe no resemblance to that in many ways. I understand that and there is no one more frustrated than myself," he said, according to the site.

"We look at our game, which is based a lot on possession, but we're also a big threat in transition when we've won the ball back and we're on the break. We don't look a threat on the break at the moment. You could argue that we don't even play in transition. We're getting no one in behind. No one is breaking lines."

West Bromwich Albion, coming out of a 4-0 win over Burnley, is expected to be the favorite of the match.

West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Irvine said his team will succeed in its upcoming match, the Birmingham Mail reports.

"We went to Tottenham believing we could win, we didn't go negatively. We went with two strikers. If we had gone believing we couldn't win there, we would have gone with five midfield players," he said, according to the newspaper.

"But we went with two strikers feeling that as long as we were good when we didn't have the ball, we could give them problems when we did. I think that was borne out by the way the lads performed."
