Actor Stephen Collins has been caught on tape admitting to the molestation of at least three underage girls in a 2012 therapy session, which his ex-wife Faye Grant has just released to the media. Collins is known for playing a family man and pastor on the CW TV show "7^th Heaven," and is currently being investigated by the NYPD in an active criminal investigation.

 According to Radar, the therapy session was taped during the 67-year-old actor's divorce proceedings from Grant. During the session, Collins confessed to showing off his genitals to an underage female relative of his first wife, Marjorie Weinman. He stated, "The exposure happened a couple of times... she was 11, and then like 12 and 13... There was never any conversation about it."

Collins continued, "There was one instance, where for one moment of touching her hand, I put her hand on my penis." At one point during the interview, Grant asked Collins, "When you exposed yourself, did you have an erection?" Collins answered, "No, I mean no... partial, maybe I think."

Obviously, Collins had no idea that his therapy session was being taped. According to TMZ, Grant's lawyer advised her it was legal to secretly record the conversation, because in California you are allowed to secretly record conversations in order to gather evidence that another person committed a violent felony. In this case, molestation qualifies as such.

The NYPD is currently in possession of the tape recording, and an official has reported that there are "at least 3 victims" and the nature of the investigation is "inappropriate sexual contact with minors." Although decades have passed since the actual molestation, law enforcement sources believe the case can still be prosecuted because the statute of limitations runs from the date of reporting.

Collins' representatives have yet to issue any comments.
