Amanda Bynes Twitter Claims: Actress Says She's Transferring To NYU Or Columbia, Recovery Still On The Rocks With New Reports Of Erratic Behavior In New York

Things just keep getting more and more bizarre with Amanda Bynes. The troubled actress has officially returned to Twitter after a months long absence and some speculation that she was tweeting from a “secret” account, to make some major claims about her academic future. Meanwhile, more reports have surfaced of her engaging in some deeply concerning behavior on her current trip to New York City.

On Tuesday, Bynes took to the social media platform to announce, “I’m transferring to NYU or Columbia from FIDM to study psychology,” adding  “So you’ll see me in New York if you live here, but I HATE stalkers!” In reality, Bynes can’t transfer to any school from FIDM (the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising), because she has been expelled. Reports surfaced last week that the actress was booted for poor attendance, erratic behavior, and regularly being intoxicated when she did show up to class. It seems unlikely that either NYU or Columbia would accept her as a student in her current state.

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Bynes attacked a fan in NYC on Monday night. Multiple sources recount that Bynes was dancing alone in the Gilded Lilly nightclub when several people began taking pictures. She reportedly yelled at the group to stop, before lunging at one woman and scratching her neck and arms. The target of the attack says she is still a fan of Bynes, and does not plan to press charges.

Then on Tuesday, the site says Bynes was seen by several Bloomingdales shoppers going into the store wearing just one shoe, and wandering around aimlessly while mumbling incoherently to herself for several hours.  This follows reports last week that Bynes wandered around a Cartier store in a similar fashion, before walking out holding up a hoodie to shield her face from paparazzi.
