G-Dragon Helps Produce YG Entertainment's New Girl Group While Fans Anticipate A Big Bang Comeback

Buzz surrounding YG Entertainment's new girl group has been stepped up in the past few days with the announcement that member Kim Eunbi has left the company for health reasons and another member, Kim Jisoo, made a splash as the star of Epik High's "Spoiler" music video.

After months of waiting with little to no information about the new band, fans are now receiving an influx of details regarding the still unnamed group's debut.

On October 22, Korean media outlet OBS News confirmed that Big Bang leader G-Dragon lent his talents to the girl group's debut album. The rapper, who is highly involved in the production process for his own songs as well as those of his group, is said to have composed and produced two of the tracks included on the upcoming girl group's debut album.

In addition to G-Dragon, former 1TYM member and the label's lead producer, Teddy, was previously revealed to have worked extensively on the new album.

While YG Entertainment originally planned to debut the group in November, after revealing Eunbi's departure from the company they suggested the album release may be pushed back to a little later in the year.

"It is true that we are in the final stages of album production," YG Entertainment said in a statement on October 20. "Even though we are not sure if we are able to make it for November, the debut will definitely be within this year."

Meanwhile G-Dragon is also said to be working on Big Bang's comeback, for which a release date is still unknown.

"Every day we are working on new music at the studio," explained Taeyang in a statement on October 12. "Although it is difficult to say when, I want to release a good album with good music as soon as possible."
