Watch ‘Five Nights At Freddy’s 2’ Trailer [VIDEO]: All Your Chuck E. Cheese Night Shift Nightmares Return, This Time With No Doors

While one can't be too certain as to whether he worked there before, one day game developer Scott Cawthon decided that there was something to be had in exploring the equivalent of Chuck E. Cheese at night. It turned out to be terrifying and ultimately a success.

In fact, the game about the creepy animatronics that you must watch over during the night shift was so successful that "Five Nights At Freddy's 2" has been announced along with a new trailer. Within the trailer you'll find some new creepy characters and an announcement that there will be no doors in this version.

IndieGameMag interviewed "Five Nights at Freddy's" creator Scott Cawthon back in September right after the game was released, and he explained how he got the idea from the game.

"I'd made a family friendly game about a beaver before this, but when I tried to put it online it got torn apart by a few prominent reviewers. People said that the main character looked like a scary animatronic animal. I was heartbroken and was ready to give up on game-making," said Cawthon. "Then one night something just snapped in me, and I thought to myself- I bet I can make something a lot scarier than that."

One could suppose that Cawthon is attempting to make something even scarier for "Five Nights at Freddy's 2." According to Game Rant, "Previously, doors allowed the gamer to keep safe from the horrifying mascots roaming the halls, but would use up what limited power the player had to last them the entire night when closed. Without doors, it looks like the gamer is forced to don an abandoned animatronic mask to fool the others into thinking the player isn't human."

They add that there's more rooms in addition to the lack of doors, so there's more to explore but also seemingly no where to hide. Not to mention, with the new animatronics fighting with the old ones at night, there's an added middle man conflict.

Currently "Five Nights at Freddy's 2" is going through the greenlight process at Steam, but with the success of its predecessor, it will likely end up being distributed on the platform. Until then, check out the new trailer below.
