Sunderland will face off against rival Arsensal on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Sunderland, coming out of a 8-0 loss to Southampton, is expected to be the underdog of the match.

Arsenal, coming out of a 2-2 tie with Hull City, is expected to be the favorite of the match.

Controversy surrounds a recent decision made by the English Premier League to refund the cost of match tickets to 2,500 fans after Sunderland lost 8-0 at Southampton last week.

"We win and lose as a team, players, staff and fans," Sunderland captain John O'Shea said, according to CNN Sports.

"However we wanted to acknowledge and thank the supporters who traveled such a long way to give us their backing and despite everything, stayed with us until the final whistle."
