Singer Shin Hae Chul's agency KCA Entertainment has stated "Shin Hae Chul passed away on October 27 at 20:19 with his family by his side."

They continued, "The funeral will be on October 28 from 10AM and the sending off process has not been decided yet."

The hospital said, "Shin Hae Chul came to the hospital in an unconscious state on October 22, 2014 at around 2PM and we tried our best, but he passed away due to hypoxic ischemic brain injury on October 27, 2014."

The agency said, "We send our condolescences to the family who watched their precious one pass away despite the best efforts put on by the medical staff."
