Anderson Silva signed a new contract

"To make Dana crazy, I signed for 15 more fights and to make my family crazy, too."

Anderson Silva had just signed a new contract with fifteen fights as per the promotion last week before UFC 179. The fighter just came off from a news breaking and horrifying leg injury; still had seven more fights left on his previous contract.

Even the sports analysts, reporters and his supporters do not get the point of him having more fights in his early 40's and in his condition. In any view, people do not see it necessary anymore. Yet, Silva signed the paper and admitted that he did it to wave 'hi' to the UFC president Dana White and of course, his family.

"I was with [UFC co-owner] Lorenzo [Fertitta] and Dana [White] on Thursday now, and the old contract was torn up. We signed for another fifteen fights," he revealed.

He added: "Thanks to [soccer star] Ronaldo and [soccer team] Corinthians, I was able to work with Nike...It was great, I liked it a lot. I'll miss them, always remember it."

The fighter now spilled the other 'Spider' contract news about him being no longer sponsored by Nike. He is now negotiating things with Adidas. "I was always a Nike fan, I like the brand. The company gave me an opportunity to fulfill a dream," he stated.

"We're in a good relationship with Adidas now. There's nothing done, we'll see what happens in the future."
