Michael Schumacher Update: F1 Champion 'Will Never Be The Man He Was Before;' 'Shumi' Still 'Immobile, Unable To Follow Instructions'

Michael Schumacher update reveals a grim scenario for the F1 champion with friends and doctors claiming that he will never be the same since he's still immobile and unable to follow instructions.

A friend of the family delivered Michael Schumacher update to UK's Express and claimed that even if he came out of the coma following the tragic accident, there's still no telling his future.

"The question remains, however, about how much improvement can be expected in the coming months and years. Will he speak again? Will he walk again? Will he be able to feed and dress himself?" the friend said. "The doctors don't know. No one can know.

"The probability is that he will never be the man he was before the accident. That much is starkly clear," the insider added.

In other Michael Schumacher update from MailOnline, news from inside the racing champ's home, where a clinic is set up for his 24/7 care, claimed that "Schumi" "remains immobile and is unable to follow instructions, has no speech or other forms of communication and has no purposeful movement of his limbs."

Dr. Gary Hartstein, a former doctor of the F1 World Championship, said that based on the information he gathered, Michael Schumacher remains, in effect, in a coma.

"Life expectancy for a comatose patient who does not improve neurologically is measured in months to a relatively few years," he said.

But another insider told the British tabloid that the family, especially Michael Shcumacher's wife, Corrina, is hopeful after the racing champ showed some progress after the prolonged coma.

"Corinna is happy at the progress he has made so far and optimistic that much more can be achieved. She is counting the successes one by one and ignoring the likelihood he will make anything other than a full recovery," the friend explained.
