Chick-Fil-A May Be Homophobic, But Is The Christian Chicken Joint Also Teen-Phobic? Manager Bans 'Bae, Fool, Bruh, Ebola, Turn Up, Ratchet, On Fleek' & Slang, But Official Twitter Says List Is Fake

According to a post by a Reddit user who describes himself as an employee at an undisclosed Chick-fil-A, he's got a manager that's seriously "tired of [their] sh-t." Mr. Boss Man, also known as Eric, is so fed up with the teen slang used behind the counter at his precious chicken shop that he created a list of words banned at the restaurant.

"You will speak properly when you walk through these doors. These words are banned," reads the too-funny-to-take-seriously list. It includes "Bae, Bruh, On Fleek, Guh, Chill (unless we are talking about something that is chilled), Ebola (stop accusing people of having ebola), Fool, Boy/Girl Bye, Salty Ratchet, Turn up," and many more. Oh, and let us not forget "Felicia (there is nobody here named Felicia)." Move over Lord Voldemort, Felicia is the new "[She]-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named."

The post ends with a stern comment, as Eric urges his staff to follow his rules of conduct. "You are a professional so speak professionally," writes the manager. Wise words from a wise man. And don't you dare scratch out any of the words, or you may be looking at loosing the best perk of all in terms of working at Chick-fil-A: free employee meals. (Sidenote: Chick-fil-A, are you hiring? I would love a spicy chicken sandwich right now...)

The post went viral in a matter of hours, spreading through social media like wildfire and garnering almost 1500 comments on Reddit. The page of bullet point phrases and terms is so random and ridiculous that it almost seems like a joke. And it may be...

According to the New York Daily News, "Despite making headline news in the days following, the company tweeted Tuesday afternoon that it doesn't have a list of banned words. Hours earlier on Tuesday morning, The New York Daily News had reached out to Chick-fil-A and was told the company is looking into the situation, but it could not immediately confirm whether the list is authentic."

Now do not fret quite yet, the list is not necessarily fake. It's possible that Mr. Eric is enforcing his own kind of slang martial law upon his employees without the knowledge of the higher-ups. At the end of the day, it's probably a good idea not to accuse customers of having Ebola, which has killed nearly 5000 in West Africa in recent months. You're also probably better off not using word like "ratchet," "bruh," "chill," or "fool" towards clientele unless you want those customers to take their money to Popeye's or KFC instead.

The list of banned words is only the latest news-making event to spark a media frenzy surrounding Chick-fil-A Inc. The Christian company landed in some major hot water when it was exposed in 2011 that the chain donates money to anti-gay groups that oppose same-sex marriage. In addition, religious Christian president Dan Cathy made some pretty homophobic anti-gay statements over the years, claiming the company is only supportive of heterosexual family values. The backlash was huge, and the company tried its best to skirt the criticism but it definitely left some customers turned off for life.

But "bruh," whether you think their policies are "ratchet" or "chill," I could eat about "3Hunnid" of their spicy chicken sandwiches right now..."Turn up!"
