Michael Schumacher News Update: F1 Champion's State Of Health Remains Vague; Wife And Children's Statement Remains Confident And Hopeful For 'Schumi'

There's still no Michael Schumacher news update that will shed light on his latest condition as his wife Corrina and children's statement remains hopeful for the F1 racing champ.

In the latest Michael Schumacher news, Corrina and children Gina-maria, 17, and Mick, 15, released a statement of gratitude following the outpouring of support for F1 legend.

The statement was posted on the official website by Michael Schumacher, which reads:

"Every day wishes for his recovery arrive and the extent of sympathy for him makes us speechless. We can only say thank you for that, that you fight with him and us together. We remain confident and hope for the best for Michael. Your strength helps us continue to support him in his fight."

The website was reactivated to mark the 20th year since he first won an F1 title.

But according to MailOnline the statement didn't really provide any Michael Schumacher news update regarding his condition.

"It contained no new information about the state of his health as he battles to recover from the catastrophic brain injuries he suffered while skiing in the French Alps on December 29 last year," it said. "It is understood he has still not regained the power of speech and has just limited movement of his limbs."

However, according to Global News, "Michael Schumacher's family is still confident about the former Formula One champion's future, but isn't giving any new details about his condition."

Formula 1 World Championship Dr Gary Hartstein told The Express, that the sparse Michael Schumacher condition news update coming from his camp has led to a lot of speculations.

"We are told, with what seems to be a bit of a triumphal air, that Michael is no longer in a coma," he said. "I cannot help but think this is highly cynical use of language, using the truth to convey an impression that is almost certainly false."

The doctor, who has known Michael Schumacher for years, explained: "I cannot help but think that if Michael had emerged at all from the minimally conscious state we would be told that he is having problems expressing himself and will work hard to get better or that he is having to learn to walk, read and write all over again.
