It's been a wild week for Bono.

The U2 frontman was reportedly injured in a bicycle accident over the weekend and forced to postpone his band's week-long residency appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon." This comes just a few days after a door fell off of Bono's private jet mid-flight.

"It looks like we will have to do our Tonight Show residency another time - we're one man down," U2 wrote on their official website on Sunday.

According to the post, Bono "injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park."

"Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding," added the band, which also includes guitarist The Edge, bassist Adam Clayton, and drummer Larry Mullen.

Bono is reportedly scheduled to have surgery on his arm after the accident. The band wrote that they are sure the musician will make a full recovery.

Just last week, Bono experienced a scary moment when a rear door fell off of the private jet he was in mid-flight while traveling from Dublin to Berlin. After making a quick landing at the Berlin International Airport, German officials discovered that the fallen door had also caused some luggage to tumble out of the plane, which was 8,000 feet in the air at the time.

The "Songs of Innocence" band was set to appear on Fallon's late night show all week. After U2 revealed that the band would be unable to perform with Bono, Fallon had a little fun with the situation, stepping into the Irish rock legend's shoes.

"Bono's wardrobe is here since he was going to wear it tonight," said the host, donning the singer's cap and sunglasses. "Obviously he's not going to need it now. I thought, let's have some fun with it."

"No @U2 this week. But we'll think of something and send vibes to Bono for a speedy recovery," Fallon also wrote on Twitter.
