Ansel Elgort has become one of the hottest young stars over the past year.

The 20-year-old actor, who virtually burst onto the movie scene with roles in "The Fault in Our Stars," "Divergent," and "Men, Women, & Children," was named one of GQ's 2014 "Men of the Year." In Elgort's interview for the magazine, he reveals that he's more than just another pretty face on the big screen. In fact, Ansel discusses a few of his passions in life, which are equal parts cool and delightfully nerdy.

First, it must be noted, that Elgort has a pretty awesome obsession with miniature figurines.

"There was always this stigma, like, 'Oh, girls will be turned off by that kind of thing.' But it's totally the opposite," Elgort told GQ. "Girls love it when you have some weird nerdy thing in your room. It makes you look less threatening, even though I'm, like, very threatening. I'm the most threatening guy ever."

Elgort, who grew up in New York, has been immersed in the world of miniatures since he was little. The young star apparently has a table covered with the figurines in the basement of his home in Brooklyn, which he shares with friends who share his quirky obsession.

"I love bringing my different worlds together-the miniatures guys into the music world, especially," added the actor, who also has a blooming career as a DJ.

Elgort, who goes by the name Ansølo as a musician, devotes an impressive amount of time to making music and explained to GQ that he hopes to never be labeled a typical celebrity DJ.

"I'll work thirteen hours at a time producing a new track. Not a lot of people understand that-not girlfriends, friends, family," said Elgort, adding that the other musicians that he meets at EDM festivals and such are the ones who truly understand his passion.

"I never felt fanboyish about acting, about actors, about movies. I'm a fanboy with music," explained the actor, who equated the excitement over performing at the Amsterdam Dance Event with winning "an Academy Award and seeing Meryl Streep clapping for you."

It seems Elgort has been doing a little bit of everything this year. So what obsessions has he had in 2014 that he hasn't been involved in?

"My favorite TV show of 2014 was probably your favorite TV show. It was 'Game of Thrones'" he gushed. "If I got a call to be on 'Game of Thrones' as someone who got like stabbed by a giant or something, I'd totally do it."

Well, who knows? Maybe Ansel will find a way to work on "Game of Thrones" one day soon. We wouldn't be surprised.
