Michael Phelps' girlfriend revealed she was born a boy. Michael Phelps is an American swimmer and the most decorated Olympian of all time, with a total of 22 medals. Taylor Lianne Chandler was actually born a boy named David Roy Fitch at birth and never told Michael Phelps.

According to The Daily Mail, Chandler, the self-proclaimed girlfriend of Michael Phelps admitted she went on testosterone blockers as a teenager. Chandler later had her male genitalia surgically removed when she was in her early twenties. Chandler writes said she didn't tell Phelps about her past "until threat of the media exposing me forced" her to.

Chandler calls herself "intersex" which, according to the Intersex Society of North America, is a general term used for "a variety of conditions in which a person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn't seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male."

Chandler reportedly claimed to have been with Phelps when he was arrested on suspicion of DUI back in September. She says she met Phelps met on Tinder.

In a post to Facebook, Chandler wrote "The truth is I have been living with secrets my whole life. "I was born intersex and named David Roy Fitch at birth. By the time I could walk and talk I made it clear I was a girl and dressed as one."

"In my early teens I was medically diagnosed and went on testosterone blockers, at 15 estrogen enhancers. My birth certificate was modified along with my name while I was a teenager, prior to any corrective surgery." 

Phelps was tested for performance enhancing drugs during the 2008 Olympics. Phelps passed all nine tests that were administered to him.

In September 2014, he was arrested on DUI and excessive speeding charges in Baltimore, Maryland. In October 2014,he was suspended from all swimming competitions for six months due to the  arrest,
