Mom Judy is all smiles after her son Andy Murray and girlfriend Kim Sears announced their engagement, as the tennis star and partner Maria Sharapova lost their IPTL match.

In a series of photos from MailOnline, Judy Murray was snapped while attending a Christmas event in Dunblane, Scotland.

The 55-year-old tennis coach waved at her fans as she posed with one of the reindeers and Santa Clause.

When the Andy Murry and girlfriend Kim Sears' engagement news became public, Judy took to Twitter for a tongue-in-cheek comment: "Just your average day really....."

She added: "There was me thinking if it all fell through with @MontyThePenguin then the was still @andy_murray to waddle down the aisle with me...."

According to the British tabloid, Andy Murray proposed to girlfriend Kim Sears this past week as he presented her with a very expensive diamond ring.

"Sources said the couple had hoped to keep their engagement secret for some time and have not yet made plans for their wedding," it said.

Meanwhile, Andy Murray and Maria Sharapova team up didn't fare well during their match in the International Premier Tennis League in the Philippines, said BBC. After the Manila event, the competition will proceed to Singapore, Delhi and Dubai.

"Manila Mavericks' star players Murray and Sharapova lost in the mixed doubles before Marin Cilic beat the Scot 6-5 in singles as the UAE Royals won 29-24," the site said. Murray, however, is only scheduled to play in the Manila leg of the competition.

Andy Murray and Kim Sears' engagement was announced after nine years of dating. The couple has been together since 2005 when they met at the US Open. She is the daughter of Nigel Sears, the former head of Law Tennis Association for women.

Afterwards, Kim Sears has become a staple in Andy Murray's tennis matches as his loyal girlfriend can be seen cheering from the stands.
