Former EXO-M Leader Kris To Become Wax Sculpture At Madame Tussauds Shanghai

Former EXO member Wu Yi Fan will become the youngest celebrity to merit a wax sculpture at Madame Tussauds Shanghai.

On December 1, Wu Yi Fan, often known as Kris, appeared at an event celebrating the fact that the world famous Madame Tussauds had decided to add his wax sculpture to the Shanghai branch of the museum. Madame Tussauds staff from the United Kingdom flew to China to meet with Wu Yi Fan to measure and make molds for his sculpture.

Along with measuring Wu Yi Fan, Madame Tussauds staff also carefully matched Wu Yi Fan's skin tone and hair color in order to make the wax figure appear more lifelike.

The sculpture is expected to be finished within the next two months, and will reportedly be released in mid-2015.

Wu Yi Fan debuted in 2012 with EXO-M, known then by his Korean stage name Kris. In 2014, the idol filed a lawsuit against EXO's entertainment agency, SM Entertainment. After leaving Korea, Wu Yi Fan became a popular act in China.

Since going solo, Wu Yi Fan has released several songs in China and has also begun acting.

Fellow ex-EXO member Luhan is also proving his ongoing popularity in China and is receiving much attention for his acting roles. It is unknown whether a likeness of Luhan will be joining Wu Yi Fan's wax sculpture in Madame Tussauds.

Kris (Wu Yi Fan) released the music video for his song "There Is A Place" in November 2014. "There Is A Place" is part of the soundtrack of the film Somewhere Only We Know. Wu Yi Fan has the role of one of male leads in the film, which also stars Xu Jinglei and Wang Likun. Somewhere Only We Know is expected to be released on Valentine's Day 2015.

Wu Yi Fan also is signed onto the film Lao Pao Er, which is also likely to be released in 2015.
