Corey Sligh revealed that the assault he experienced was "pretty scary" but the "Young and the Restless" actor still feels "happy" and "blessed" despite the ordeal.

The 27-year-old actor told The Wrap that he bore no hatred for the two men who ganged up on him.

"It was pretty scary [being] on the hood of that car, but I'm happy to still be able to move my neck," Corey Sligh said. "I'm happy to have the problem of relearning to walk instead of not being able to walk at all. I'm pretty blessed."

The assault on Corey Sligh occurred on Thursday night this past week in some sort of a road rage. The "Young and the Restless" actor and his girlfriend Alisa Berhorst were bringing food to a friend working on graveyard shift at a Rite Aid in Los Angeles on Thanksgiving.

The actor saw one of the suspects driving fast around on the parking lot in his Mercedes while his friend shot the whole thing with his camera.

"He wasn't just doing donuts. He was flying through the parking lot, going like 40. The car was inches from hitting cars, curbs, and buildings and they were both just laughing," he said.

At first, Corey Sligh and girlfriend Alisa Berhorst ignored the commotion and just delivered the food to their friend, but they heard somebody scream.

"Alisa and I went outside and the car finally stopped so the guy with the camera could get in. At first they seemed OK to talk to, so I said 'Hey man, you're scaring the girls and they called the cops. Just get out of here. Go,'" he said.

After a brief argument, the driver (who was arrested along with his friend) hit the actor with his car before speeding away. A few moments later, the two came back to assault Corey Sligh up until police arrived.

After the assault, "Young and the Restless" actor Corey Sligh took to his Instagram to post his message of thanks: "Hey kids, went to feed some people last night who don't have blessed thanksgivings and along the way got struck by a drunk driver!" Have a surgery to go and another couple days in the hospital but should be fine soon! Thankful to still be on this great planet! Love y'all!"
