Actress Misty Upham's cause of death was officially confirmed on Thursday.

According to the King County medical examiner's office in Washington, the 32-year-old "August Osage County" star died from blunt force trauma to the head and torso. The manner of her death, however, remains unknown.

Upham, who appears in the recent film "Cake," was last seen alive on Oct. 5. She disappeared after leaving her sister's apartment on Oct. 5, which is located on the Muckleshoot Reservation in Auburn, Washington.

The actress's family soon reported her missing. Her body was located at the bottom of a ravine near her sister's apartment on Oct. 16 by a small search party, which was led by Misty's uncle, Robert Upham.   

According to PEOPLE, the Auburn police believe that Upham fell down the ravine while attempting to evade officers who were looking for her. The Auburn PD claims that it does not believe fowl play was involved.

When the story initially broke during Upham's disappearance in October, speculation began to circulate that the "August Osage County" actress may have committed suicide due to struggle with bipolar disorder. However, the actress's father, Charles Upham, later stated that he didn't believe his daughter had committed suicide.

When Upham's body was found, almost two weeks after she initially went missing, a close friend of the Upham family, filmmaker Tracy Rector told The Hollywood Reporter, "The family has stated that, after seeing the body, they still do not feel that Misty Upham committed suicide."

The Upham was reportedly disappointed in the lack of assistance they received from the Auburn police department in the search for Misty. When the 32-year-old's body was found, they accused the Auburn PD on Facebook of inciting so much "fear" in the actress, which they believed caused her to "hide" from them the night of her fatal fall.
