Over the past few years, Bruce, a former U.S. track and field athlete has been accused of undergoing a list of cosmetic surgeries; most recent among them is a sex change he underwent. Although Bruce was never admitted to getting plastic surgery, Kanye is pleading him to not have any more work done!

A source told HollywoodLife.com that, "Kanye considers Bruce family and he's North West's grandfather. Kanye wants Bruce to be around for as long as possible, so he can see North grow up and be another positive influence in her life."

However, Kanye feels Bruce has a better chance of living if he does not go under the knife!

The source further adds, "Kanye told Bruce that he needs to calm down on all the surgeries. He feels it's not cool or safe. After all, look what happened to his mom,"

Donda West, Kanye's mother tragically died of heart disease on November 10, 2007 as she suffered complications after plastic surgery, according to People.

"Kanye is very sensitive about surgeries of any kind and doesn't even want to be around the Kardashians when they're talking about doing different things to their bodies. He's against those types of procedures, unless it's life threatening," our source concludes.

We sympathize with Kanye and certainly understand where he is coming from. We hope Bruce listens to Kanye.
