It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas for Harry Potter fans, as new stories will be published everyday for twelve days starting Dec. 12 in Pottermore, IGN reported.

According to the article, JK Rowling, the author of the successful Harry Potter series is gifting fans new stories this Christmas.

News.com.au quoted a newsletter from Pottermore regarding what fans are to expect starting Dec. 12 to Dec. 23.

"A potion or two and festive surprise," those were the words use to promote the new stories. It added that it will feature Draco Malfoy and Florean Fortescue's ghost.

As a lead up to the new stories, Pottermore website has this to say, "With wonderful writing by J.K. Rowling in Moments from Half-Blood Prince, shiny gold Galleons and even a new potion or two, make sure you don't miss out - just visit pottermore.com and answer our rhyming riddles to unwrap a #PottermoreChristmas surprise every day."

During Halloween, Rowling published five more stories along the story of Dolores Umbridge, a character in Harry Potter and Order of the Phoenix. She is the Undersecretary of the Minister of Magic and new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts.

A Telegraph article quoted Rowling as saying that Umbridge was based on a real person, the Harry Potter author just revealed that Dolores is based on one of her teachers, but did not elaborate who it is.

The other five stories that Rowling gave as a treat to Harry Potter fans that went online Oct. 31 were about Sybil Trelawny. He was the professor fired by Umbrige. Another story is about Thestrals, "which escort Hogwarts students across the lake on the first day of the school year," as described by an article in Telegraph .

Some stories also evolved around the history of Azkaban and how Naming Seers started.

Rowling with Ned Blair, a lawyer has launched Pottermore in 2011 to give Harry Potter fans a venue to continue to see and read the magical Potter world.
