The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have landed! Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in New York on Sunday evening for their much-awaited visit to the United States. The royal couple who are already creating buzz with their exquisite taste and style.

kate Middleton and Prince William are in New York City's Carlyle Hotel, a favorite among celebrities like George Clooney, Michael Jackson and Marilyn Monroe. After they flew into John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, the royal couple was driven to the Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan. At about 5:40 P.M. on Sunday, after they emerged from their car, Kate and Prince William were greeted in New York City by hundreds of well-wishers who gathered behind barricades in almost 38 degree weather. Kate and William posed for about 30 seconds for a photograph and then headed inside the Upper East Side hotel, which was outfitted with a British flag for their arrival.

The couple holding hands in front of fans and photographers smiled bright as they walked into their hotel, hand-in-hand. William wore a signature suit with a blue tie while Kate donned a maroon Seraphine maternity coat and black gloves.

When entering through the main doors, Prince William told the hotel staff, "It's good to be here."

Prince George is staying home in the U.K. for his trip and is apparently in care of his nanny and grandma Carole Middleton.

The royal couple's visit has been generating huge excitment throughout the city as the Empire State Building too was ready to welcome and Kate and William. The site's official Twitter account, tweeted, "We welcome Their #Royal Highnesses The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge by sparkling in red, white & blue. #RoyalVisitUSA," upon their arrival.

On Monday, Kate will visit the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem before catching up with her husband for a professional NBA game in Brooklyn.

Their visit will wrap up Tuesday with a visit to the National September 9/11 Memorial Museum.
