Psy, Showing Sings of a Huge Hit with "Right Now" Following "Gangnam Style"... Explosion in YouTube

Psy's song "Right Now" is showing a great response in YouTube, following "Gangnam Style"

Psy's "Right Now" was posted on YouTube in October 2010 as part of his 5th album, and it is showing an explosive rate of views on YouTube. As of the 29th, it passed 5.6 million views, reaching for 6 million.

On his Me2Day on 29th, Psy said, "'Right now' music video is getting a lot of interest on YouTube, too... Yay! It is a great chance for it to become the follow-up to Gangnam Style by force!"

This phenomenon seems to have been caused by the international Internet community's curiousity towards Psy, following the success of "Gangnam Style". There already are international fans who made parodies of this video.

One thing against this is that the video is rated as "Over 19 years in age only" on YouTube, that the viewers must go through an age-verification process before watching the video. Many people are saying that this video may not be able to be as powerful as "Gangnam Style" because of this, by saying, "Is there a way to get off of the age limit?" "It seems like many more people can watch this without the age restriction."

Psy's Korean fans are guessing Psy's first song to be active in the American market since "Gangnam Style" may be "Right Now."

Regarding Psy's new song, Psy said during the press conference that took place on the 25th that, "The American management company asked for an album to be made by the end of November. But because of the busy schedule promoting 'Gangnam Style,' it is not possible to meet the deadline." He also said, "We are still in discussion, and we might go with a song that was published before, or it can be a new song. The American management company said that the response for 'Champion' was the best."

Psy's "Gangnam Style" is in the midst of making a new history for Korean pop music. As of 27th (KST), "Gangnam Style" has climbed up to the number 2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 list, moving towards the top spot. It is the first time in the history of Korean pop music that a Korean singer ranking in the single-digit place in the Billboard main chart.
