Anna Chapman Edward Snowden Report: Was Sexy Russian Spy Anna Chapman Ordered to Seduce Whistle-Blower Edward Snowden by the KGB?

Anna Chapman, who went from a sexy undercover spy to an overnight media sensation, may have been ordered to seduce NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden by the KGB.

Red-headed Russian spy Anna Chapman, 32, the mesmerizing modern day Mata Hara, famously proposed to the perennial fugitive Edward Snowden, 31, via Twitter last year. But that was only part of the story

The British newspaper Sunday People reported that a former KGB agent who defected to the West named Boris Karpichkov said the KGB hatched a plot for Chapman to lure Snowden into staying in Russia to get him to spill American security secrets to the intelligence community.

According to Karpichkov, Chapman and Snowden only met once. Shortly afterward, on July 3, 2013, Chapman took to Twitter to propose.

The sexy ex-spy tweeted, "Snowden, will you marry me?!"

She followed that up with "I would also like to offer Snowden my heart and mostly my passport! Edward! Marry Me!"

Chapman also tweeted "NSA, will you look after our children?" which sounded like a joke, but she told the Wall Street Journal "you are welcome to use your imagination" when they asked if she was kidding.

Karpichkov said the Kremlin ordered Chapman to tweet. The plan was hatched by Kremlin spy Vladimir Skorik.

"But Snowden became concerned about what the consequences would be. If Snowden had accepted, he would have a right to Russian citizenship. That would lock him in Russia. As a citizen he'd need permission to leave," Karpichkov told Sunday People.

Last year, Chapman walked out of an interview on NBC when she was asked about the proposal.

The former KGB agent said Chapman was charged with lulling Snowden to the point where he wouldn't want to leave Russia.

"If Snowden had accepted, he would have a right to Russian citizenship. That would lock him in Russia. As a citizen he'd need permission to leave."

Snowden's ex-girlfriend, Lindsay Mills, was also in the Bond Girl type, posting sexy pics online. Snowden seems to have a weakness for the sexy spy type and maybe the hypnotic Russian secret agent is playing to that. For ratings.

Edward Snowden was charged with espionage by the U.S. government for leaking NRA documents about electronic snooping.

Snowden has been stuck in Russia since shortly after releasing documents he obtained as a contractor for the National Security Agency. His actions set off a debate within the country about how much the government can collect data on its own citizens.

Anna Chapman was interviewed by NBC's Richard Engel and said she didn't want to discuss her Twitter marriage proposal to Edward Snowden.

When NBC's Richard Engel asked Anna Chapman about the Twitter marriage proposal to National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden, she said "I'm not going to discuss this."

Minutes after the questions, Anna Chapman abruptly ended the interview, saying "OK, the interview is finished. I'm sorry."

Anna Chapman is the daughter of a Russian diplomat. She worked in real estate in New York City while under cover. On June 27, 2010, Anna Chapman was arrested along with nine others on suspicion of working for a Russian-sponsored spy ring. Chapman and other spies were returned to Russia as part of a spy swap.

The sexy secret agent reinvented herself as a TV personality and celebrity back in Russia.

Since being deported, Anna Chapman hosts her own television show called "Mysteries of the World." Rumors also circulated that Anna Chapman was having an affair with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

After Anna Chapman was arrested and deported she posed for a sexy photo shoot for Maxim Magazine and hit Moscow's catwalks. Chapman also began hosting a Russian TV show about aliens and ghosts called "Mysteries of the World."
