Korean Air Delays Plane For Macadamia Nut Service; This Is a Nut Rage

Korean Air takes their on-flight service seriously. Korean Air Executive Heather Cho, who is the daughter of the airline's boss, was so concerned about on-flight service she delayed a plane of it. Some people are saying that was just nuts.

The Korean Air executive is now being investigated over claims that she delayed a plane because of how she was served nuts. According to reports, Heather Cho a vice-president of Korean Aiir,  demanded the removal of a junior attendant from a flight last Friday because Cho was served macadamia nuts in a bag, instead of on a plate.

The crew member was ordered off the plane after Cho questioned him about in-flight service standards.

The Korean Air Lines plane was on the runway at John F. Kennedy airport in New York City on a flight headed to Incheon, South Korea.

Cho forced the Incheon-bound flight to taxi back to the terminal in New York.

According to Korean Air, part of Cho's job is checking service standards. Korea Times reported that Cho is in charge of in-flight service for the carrier.

The airline said that the pilot backed her up. But officials say Cho was a passenger at the time.

Cho is the daughter of Korean Air boss Cho Yang-ho.

Korean Air said Flight KE086 departed the airport in New York 20 minutes late. The plane arrived in Inchon 11 minutes late.

The transport authorities are probing to see if Cho' infringed on aviation law.

A South Korea transport ministry official told reporters "Even though she is senior vice president at the company, she was a passenger at that time, so she had to behave and be treated as a passenger."

"If the investigation finds any violations, the necessary action will be taken against the air carrier," a Transportation Ministry official said.

Cho has since resigned.

arriving at Incheon about 11 minutes late.

Korean Air Lines apologized for any inconvenience.
