Millions March Takes Place In NY And DC: Crowds Of More Than 10,000 Call For An End To Racial Profiling By The Police; Call For 'Justice For All' [PHOTO]

The Millions March is making its way from the Capitol to Manhattan today, with crowds of more than 10,000 people marching to call for an end to racial profiling by the police.

According to USA Today, some protestors marched in downtown D.C. along with civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton, and New York City protestors marched up Fifth Avenue in Midtown after gathering at Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village.

All protestors marched in support of two black men - Eric Garner and Michael Brown - who were shot and killed by police officers when unarmed. In both cases, the grand jury declined to indict the white police officers who pulled the trigger.

Tawana Williams, a middle school teacher, stated, "My students are having a difficult time understanding how a police officer could shoot someone and not be indicted... At least go to court and examine the evidence. The students just can't understand."

Eric Garner's mother, Gwen Carr, was present at the D.C. march. She called it a "history-making moment," stating, "'It's just so overwhelming to see all who have come to stand with us today... I mean, look at the masses. Black, white, all races, all religion. ... We need to stand like this at all times."

In New York, the mass of protestors swelled to at least 25,000 people. An anonymous man at the rally stated, "There is a systematic murder of people of color in this country and its institutionalized racism. The people are here to convince the people in power to legislate against this," further explaining his (and others') reasons for protesting.

Another protestor proclaimed, "America is supposed to value all of its citizens. We're supposed to have justice for all... But clearly that's not what's going on. So we have to fight for what's right."

The protests are still ongoing, and it seems Rev. Al Sharpton has a message for members of Congress: "Members of Congress, beware we're serious... When you get a ring-ding on Christmas, it might not be Santa. It may be Rev. Al coming to your house."
