UFC Champ Ronda Rousey's Fight With Cris Cyborg No Longer Possible? 'Rowdy' Details Sports Journey In A Memoir

The chance of UFC champ Ronda Rousey fighting Cris Cyborg gets slimmer by the second as the former judo superstar is penning a book about her own journey towards global recognition.

According to Yahoo Sports, Chris "Cyborg" Justino is not keen on fighting the UFC champ any longer because of the risks involved.

"The fight between Cyborg and Rousey is one that fans have longed for. But it has been clear from the beginning, as long as Rousey is the UFC 135-pound champ, any fight between the two would have to occur at that weight class," the website said.

But Cris Cyborg is more comfortable at her weight class of 145 pounds so any chance at getting crack at Ronda Rousey's belt would have to be at the catch weight of 140 pounds.

"From now on, I will only fight at my weight or at a catchweight. I realized I'm the only one making an effort for this fight to happen. I believe both should make an effort," she said.

Cris Cyborg will instead defend her belt in the next Invicta fight at 145 pounds with a still unidentified opponent.

In other news, Ronda Rousey is said to be writing his own memoir with her sister, Maria Burns Ortiz, chronicling her journey as one of the rising stars in judo to dominating the UFC. The book's release is set for May 2015, said Fox Sports.

The announcement for the new book titled "My Fight/Your Fight" was made by Regan Arts through the Associated Press last Tuesday.

According to Fox, the book will follow UFC champ Ronda Rousey's life, "from her upbringing as a judo prodigy, making it all the way to the Olympics where she won a bronze medal, to her meteoric rise up the fight ranks to her current place as the UFC women's bantamweight champion."
