The Asus Transformer Book T200 is the follow-up to the hugely successful Asus Transformer Book T100, both are 2-in-1 laptops that sports decent specs and competitive prices. The Transformer Book T200 is for sale at $499. The machine has an 11.6-inch screen that is IPS HD and multi-touch.

Resolution for the Transformer Book T200 is 1,366 x 768. Under the hood it has a 64-bit processor and 4GB of memory. Storage for the machine is at 64GB, but users can install up to 1TB of HDD storage. ZDNet noted that the unit has a lot of ports that Windows users can take advantage of. Keyboard ports available are: USB 2.0, USB 3.0, audio in/ou, RJ-45, microUSB and microHDMI. For those Skype calls and video conferences, the Asus Transformer Book T200 has a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.

One notable thing for the Book T200, like the T100, is its battery life. It can last up to 8.5 hours. It also weighs 3.6 lbs with a keyboard dock.

During a performance test by 7Tutorials.com, it showed that the Asus Transformer Book T200 booted an average of 45 seconds. Battery tests for the unit are good as well, though not at par with its claims based on a PeaceKeeper battery test ran by 7Tutorials. The unit lasted for 6 hours and 51 minutes.

The Asus Transformer Book T200 can now be purchased from Best Buy for $399.99. Asus is hoping that the response for the unit will be similar to the reception of the T100, which was deemed to be one of the best value 2-in-1 in the market when it was made available in the market.

Asus gives buyers of the T200 free unlimited Asus WebStorage for one year. It also has the MyBitCast app, allowing you to have your content auto-updated and synced for it be shared with friends via smartphone, tablet or computer.
