Grand Theft Auto is expected to take another step up after the successful release of GTA 6 on PS4 and Xbox One this year. Another sequel for the open world title is being talked about for now.

GTA 6 was sort of confirmed the same year GTA 5 was released because of Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies' statements regaring ideas for the game.

"We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do," Benzies told Develop in an interview. "We don't know what 'GTA VI' will be, but we've got some ideas."

GTA 6 release date will have its time of its own but for now, they put all their attention on GTA Online especially after announcing online heists to be available soon.

"GTA Online is the focus right now. There ain't no rest between finishing 'V' and then Online. Plus we have some other things -- stuff, DLC, I don't know how to describe it exactly -- that we'd like to do, and we'll pick the right ones," Benzies continued.

Rumors and speculations, meanwhile, plague groups and forums about the sequel of the game. Some fans suggest that the follow up would be a flashback or a prequel seen with a San Andreas gameplay.

It was rumored last week that a GTA: San Andreas 2 would soon be released but were eventually satirical news that became trending.

Release date of Grand Theft Auto 6 is also rumored by 2018 as "expansion sets" and side stories on DLC are expected to be released first.
