50 Shades of Grey Movie Release News: The Weeknd is lashing out with the the first official single from the upcoming sexual thriller from Universal Pictures And Focus Features, "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Platinum-selling XO/Republic Records artist The Weeknd released "Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)."

You can get "Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)" on iTunes. The 50 Shades of Grey soundtrack album will hit stores and digital formats starting on February 10, 2015. Just in time for Valentine's Day.

Republic Records announced that they are whipping out 50 Shades of Grey official soundtrack album. The movie adaptation from the graphic erotic novel is  one of 2015's most highly anticipated films.

The soundtrack album will drop right before Fifty Shades of Grey arrives in theaters on February 13, 2015.

The score was written by four-time Academy Award nominee Danny Elfman, who also brought us "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Dana Sano was the music supervisor on "Fifty Shades of Grey."The bestselling book Fifty Shades of Grey has become a global phenomenon, becoming one of the biggest and fastest-selling book series ever.  The "Fifty Shades" trilogy has been translated into 51 languages worldwide and sold more than 100 million copies in e-book and print since it came out.

Fifty Shades of Grey was directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. It also features Luke Grimes as Elliot, Christian's brother; Victor Rasuk as Jose, Anastasia's close friend; Eloise Mumford as Kate, Anastasia's best friend and roommate; Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, Christian's mother; Rita Ora as Mia, Christian's sister; Max Martini as Taylor, Christian's bodyguard; Callum Keith Rennie as Ray, Anastasia's stepfather; Jennifer Ehle as Carla, Anastasia's mother; and Dylan Neal as Bob, Carla's husband.    

The screenplay for Fifty Shades of Grey was written by by Kelly Marcel.  The movie was produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti alongside series creator E L James.
