Hasbro Play Doh 'Toy Penis' Observed In Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain Playset, Consumer Criticisms Cause Company To Replace Phallic Object [PHOTO]

A Play-Doh dispenser shaped like a penis has been widely criticized by consumers, causing Hasbro to replace the toy. According to USA Today, the phallic object is part of the Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain set, and functions as a "2-piece extruder" that allows kids to create and decorate Play-doh cakes.

Social media complaints ranged from "Play doh is deleting photos of its Cake Mountain topper. Snort," to "Christmas toys gone wrong. @PlayDoh why does this look like a penis? #questioneverything."

Some commenters wrote that a replacement was unnecessary. Emilie Sara Haas wrote, "I'm not getting a replacement. I think it's crazy that people have to turn everything into something sexual."

However, some consumers found the toy to be hilarious. Commenter Tom Arthur wrote, "Thank you for erecting a new design to penetrate the success of your business model!" Commenter Zac Irwin said, "Did this toy have a" Warning Choking Hazard" sticker somewhere on it? Bahhaha."

Play-Doh recently stated on its Facebook page, "We have heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool in the Play-Doh Cake Mountain playset and are in the process of updating all future Play-Doh products with a different tool. Should any consumer want a replacement extruder for this item, they can contact Hasbro's Customer Service Department at 800-327-8264."

If anyone is interested in the product, the Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain Playset is sold for kids 3 and up, and costs $19.99.
