Hope Rises With New Michael Schumacher Condition Update; F1 Champion's Recovery Lies With His Children?

There's new hope in Michael Schumacher's condition as he reportedly shed tears after recognizing his children's voice. If the reports are true, it seems the F1 champion's recovery hinges upon his children a year after slipping in and out of consciousness.

An article from Italian newspaper Corriere della Serra, as shared by MailOnline, provided good news on Michael Schumacher's road to recovery.

"The fact Schumacher is reacting with tears to his loved ones' voices is 'valuable news', after a year of seeming 'really far away,'" said the British publication.

The article, written by Giorgio Terruzi, reported: "Schumi cries. And sometimes mysteriously. He cries when he hears his children, his wife's voice, his dogs. In the silence of that room, a tear runs down his thin face at a known sound."

He added of Michael Schumacher's condition: "Inside this we can find... There is life, enclosed in a drop; there is the strength of a man who is moved and that moves each of us. We have his tears, his senses exposed."

Meanwhile, CNN reported that the F1 champ's friends and fellow drivers continue to pine for Michael Schumacher's recovery.

Red Bull driver Daniil Kvyat tweeted: "#KeepFightingMichael -- I know you will."

Lotus driver Romain Grosjean also wrote on Twitter: "It has been one year already... #KeepFightingMichael our thoughts are still with you and your family."

The Mercedes team also posted on social media: "One year on, our thoughts remain with Michael, his family and friends every day."

Earlier, ex F1 racer Philippe Streiff gave Michael Schumacher condition update saying the race car driver can already recognize his own children even if he still couldn't speak. That claim was quickly shot down by spokesperson Sabine Kehm.

The family remains mum on Michael Schumacher's condition but has asked fans and friends to continue to pray for the racing champ's recovery.
