Yang Hyun Suk and Epik High had a bit of conflict over which song should be their title track off of their 7th album '99'. Although they are promotion double title tracks, that wasn't the initial case.

Yang Hyun Suk wanted "UP" featuring Bom of 2NE1 to be their title track because he wanted Epik High to rise up from their hardships-plus it has a hip hop sound which causes for a lively stage. Epik High chose "Don't Hate Me" because they wanted to tell the story of their hardships and thank their fans for never leaving their side.

The Boss has mentioned that, "YG puts their artists' opinions above anything else," This is the reason why both tracks were chosen. That way "it would be a win-win for both of [them],"

Epik High and Yang Hyun Suk are looking forward to see which song ranks first; and this is also Epik High's first time doing double promotions, causing Yang Hyun Suk to be excited about how the situation will go.
