Looks like people will no longer need drivers to drive their car as German automobile giant Audi unveiled it's smart watch controlled car. The custom designed smart watch for this car has been developed in collaboration with LG. It looks stylish and gives you the ability to control your car without even being in it!

Luxury car maker made a grand entry into the Consumer Electronics Show happening in Las Vegas by unveiling it's smart watch controlled car. The driverless Audi Prologue entered the stage with just a tap on the custom designed smart watch. A true delight for gadget freaks across the globe, the entry of the car seemed exactly like a scene from one of those fancy bond movies that have been entertaining audiences since several years. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Audi's head of Research &Development, used the wristwatch drive the car out on to the stage. Audiences were surprised to see the engine of the car start by just tapping the watch. In the press conference that followed, Dr. Ulrich even showed the watch to the journalists.

Audi was able to achieve this innovation by collaborating with smart phone maker LG. The custom designed watch looked extremely stylish and was quite similar to an ordinary time telling machine except for it's unique ability to control cars. Being circular in shape, this smart watch can be worn comfortably on the wrist making it easier for the wearer to control the car. The design of this circular watch looked heavily inspired from the LG G Watch R smartwatch. In fact, a lot of tech experts called in an upgraded version of the LG's previous models. However, Audi has also revamped the existing design to add a fancy metal phase with a sturdy leather strap to give it a rich and sophisticated look.

In addition to enhancing the aesthetic appeal, Audi has also tweaked the user interface giving it the ability to comprehend and control the multiple functions of a car. The makers also confirmed that the watch was operating on Google's smartwatch-centric Android Wear OS. Currently, Audi uses Near Field Communication method to establish a link with the car. However, Audi is still exploring safer ways of implementing the technology.
