New Sony Walkman Allows 60 Hours Of Listening Time In One Charge: NW-ZX2 Specs & CES 2015 News

Sony unveiled its new Walkman NW-ZX2 earlier this week at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2015), revealing that the high-definition music player allows up to 60 hours of MP3 listening time.

The device also allows for up to 33 hours of high-resolution playback from a single charge, ABC News reports.

Sony's newest product, which is rumored for a Spring 2015 release date, builds off of earlier models of the Walkman, which were used as portable audio cassette players. Earlier versions of the Walkman were especially popular during the last two decades of the 20th Century.

The NW-ZX2 includes 128 GB of memory and is intended to "reproduce master quality recordings just as the artists originally intended," Sony officials wrote in an official news release, according to the site.

Priced at $1,119.99, the new Sony Walkman also includes a micro-SD card slot allowing for additional storage.

"The new Walkman ZX2 is a great example of the quality of our high-res audio offerings," Sony Electronics USA President Mike Fasulo said at CES 2015, according to CNN

"This Walkman is tailored for outstanding sound, and every piece of material and component has been crafted to realize the ultimate high-res audio experience on the move."
