According to Chinese media outlets, EXO may become the winner of the upcoming Huading Awards.

Though there has been no certain report of EXO's win, many are speculating that the prestigious award with indeed go to the group.

Various Chinese outlets has been stating that because of EXO's continually increasing popularity in not only Korea but drastically so in China, that voting will inevitably lead EXO to a victory at the award ceremony.

2014 was a year of vast wins for EXO after taking home the Daesang at the Golden Disk Awards, Album of the Year at the SBS Awards Festival and sweeping the competition at the 2014 MAMA Awards.

The Huading Awards is a Chinese entertainment award ceremony that has been held every year since the first set of nominees back in 2007. Some of the categories include the Best Global Idol Group, Best Chinese Actor, Annual Contribution, and the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award. In order to accept the award, the artist must be in attendance. Fans are growing more anxious for EXO's win especially since their attendance has already been confirmed.

Despite the controversies that surrounded EXO last year, the group still remains one of the most successful idol groups in recent years. It is EXO-L (the official name of the group's fan club) and supporters that are helping to increase EXO's chance of winning at the this year's Huading Awards through their fan votes.

Industry professionals take part in the voting process as well. Considering the amount of praise EXO has received from critics in the past year, fans are hoping that their music chart success will be reflected in the voting for the Huading Awards.

Alongside EXO, fellow label-mates Girls' Generation were also nominated, though the girl group has yet to confirm their attendance.

Other artists that were nominated in the same category include Maroon 5, One Direction, Swing Girls, Tasty, and famous Chinese duo Chopstick Brothers. Looks like EXO has some tough competition!

The Huading Awards will take place on January 8 in Shanghai, China.
