Mia Khalifa is the No. 1 ranked star on PornHub. Khalifa's fans say she broke the internet long before Kim Kardashian. The Miami-based star made her debut in October 2014 and has since received death threats for wearing hijabs in her sex videos. She was also blasted for having Lebanese-influenced tattoos.

Mia Khalifa from PornHub was the first celebrity to break the internet in 2015, but the Lebanese adult film star is paying the price for fame. After a band recorded a love song to the lusty 21-year-old, and she was Queen PornHub, the starlet received death threats in Arab countries.

Mia Khalifa took to Twitter to ask "Doesn't the Middle East have more important things to worry about besides me? How about finding a president? Or containing ISIS?"

Lebanon is one of the Middle East's most liberal countries, but when Mia Khalifa displayed racy Arab-themed tattoos and wore a Muslim hibaj, the region went nuts.

After recent fatal blowback on the comic site Charlie Hebdo-ism, these kinds of threats have to be taken seriously. The hot star doesn't want to stay away from commenting on the tragedy or on politics, just because she works in the sex industry. Mia told The Lebanese Examiner "I was born and raised there, I'm entitled to an opinion on the politics just like everyone else."

"They're embarrassed I'm 'claiming' them - as if I had a choice. I was born there," she told Newsweek magazine.

Khalifa says her own Lebanese parents were "extremely strict, overbearing, and very conservative." Khalifa has tattoos of the opening lines to the Lebanese national anthem and one of the symbol of the Lebanese Christian political party, the Lebanese Forces Cross.

The death threats have added to the porn star's popularity. She was recently honored with a song by the band Timeflies.

According to BroBible.com, Timeflies band members Rez and Cal wrote called "Mia Khalifa," after the Lebanese porn star broke the Internet. Both PornHub and Khalifa shared it on their Twitter pages

The song got more than 140,000 plays on SoundCloud and over 50,000 views on YouTube in just a few hours.

Part of the lyrics read: "Now let's get it on from New York to the Bay all the way to Lebanon. Sometimes you gotta make a decision/ Took her talents 'round the world/ Now she's ballin' like LeBron, aye."
