After months of anticipation, "Tokyo Ghoul Root A" or "Tokyo Ghoul" season two is finally here. Funimation streamed the series for fans outside of Japan, but for those without subscriptions, below are two links where "Tokyo Ghoul" season two is available to stream for free online.

Synopsis:

The episode begins with a boy on a bike. And then, out of the darkness, Kaneki appears.

Meanwhile, an attack on the Aogiri is carried out by the police. Amon vows to stay in the fight with a large and seemingly formidable Owl. Ayato fights with Touka. He scolds her for her continued "preference" for humans. He bites viciously into her wings.

Back with the battle against the Aogiri monster Owl, the soldiers use weapons infused with ghoul powers but they are unable to do any real damage

Another battle involving Uta and Tsukiyama and a masked ghoul named Noro ensues. Tsukiyama notes that the healing abilities of this Noro makes him wonder what he tastes like. Back with Touka, Ayato subdues her and informs her that she fails because she's weak - just like their father.

One of the soldiers, Shinohara, appears to be slowly being devoured by his ghoul armor and weapons. The formidable enemy, Owl, sees the eroding and devouring armor and notes how despicable it is. Ayato continues to attack Touka but she's saved suddenly by Kaneki.

Kaneki gives Ayato's body to Nishio and goes after Ayato. He blames himself for this event. He also tells Ayato that he will not kill him because he is the brother of Touka. Kaneki asks Ayato what he's trying to accomplish by joining the Aogiri. Is it for protection?

Just at that moment, Noro pulls Ayato out of the fight with Kaneki. The building begins to collapse and all parties evacuate. Tsukiyama saves two hostages. Kaneki tells Nishio to take care of Touka before returning to the collapsing building.

Half of the soldiers are destroyed in the battle. Meanwhile, Kaneki stands in the dust and rubble looking forlorn. It begins to snow as he walks off. The boy on the bike, Hideyoshi, rides away, also noticing the snow.

Kaneki finds Touka. He reveals that he will not return to the Anteiku. He says he will be going to the Aogiri. He walks off with his mask on behind the members of the Aogiri. Ayato scoffs.
