Apple iOS 8 Leads To Lawsuit; Tech Giant ‘Shortchanging’ Users In Storage Space

Some users haven't found Apple iOS 8 to be enticing that they have decided to sue the company for reportedly shortchanging users in storage space. According to the latest lawsuit filed against the tech giant, the Apple iOS 8 eats up approximately 23.1 percent of storage space.

Paul Orshan and Chistopher Endara filed the complaint on December 30: "We feel that there are a substantial number of Apple consumers that have been shortchanged, and we'll be pursuing the claims vigorously."

According to the pair, due to the memory taken up by Apple iOS 8, users will be left with little space and hence be forced to sign up for the paid iCloud storage system. The latest lawsuit against Apple seeks millions of dollars in damages.

However, it isn't the first time for Apple to be accused of not being transparent when it comes to storage space. Apart from iPhone and iPad devices, several Android devices have the same issue. Several Samsung phones, for example, have several things pre-installed that users would have a reduced internal storage from the beginning.

Several experts have noted that the lawsuit might not go far considering the significance of an operating system. This is reportedly the reason why the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models bearing 64GB and 128GB memory are more popular than previous models.
