Cruel and unusual punishment sounds normal in description of any school teacher. Admittedly, it's probably necessary for kids and their raging hormones. But when your teacher is both caring and a creepy alien with super-speed, it's probably a good idea to get out of the school or get the teacher out of there.

Or maybe all of this is best suited for the fantastical worlds of animated television.

That seems to be the case when one considers the upcoming premiere of "Assassination Classroom." The series recently previewed the caring and creepy Koro-sensei in two new trailers, which fans can view below. Funimation will stream "Assassination Classroom" starting with its premiere episode, which is now available.

Along with the new trailers, Anime News Network confirms that the series will be 22 episodes long. Fans reacted to this news positively.

"Sweet, a continuous 2-cour with Fukuyama and Sugita in the lead *smile*" commented Hameyadea.

"22 episodes sounds pretty nice," said Thekingsdinner.

"An ideal length, sounds like they will adapt to the end of an arc for it to have such a deliberate number rather than having it hang off in a weird way," explained Thelastgogeta.

Funimation describes "Assassination Classroom" as follows:

"Forget about homework and pop quizzes. The students of Class 3E have a far more important assignment: kill their teacher before the end of the year! A tentacle-d sensei that moves at Mach 20 is out to conquer the classroom after destroying seventy percent of the moon. In addition to reading, writing, and arithmetic, the murderous monster behind the lectern will teach his students everything he knows about the assassination game.

Should some eager beaver prove to be a quick study in killing, he or she will save Earth from extinction - and collect a hefty reward. But they'd better take some serious notes while class is in session because their slaughtering sensei has eight deadly tentacles just waiting to wreak havoc on humanity!"
