‘Magic Kaito 1412' Anime Cast To Sing Character Specific Songs For New Music CD Titled ‘Magical Pallet'

Creating anime related products seems to have a two fold purpose: one is of course to increase revenue, but the other seems related to pleasing fans' insatiable desire for content or anime related merchandise.

Because let's face it, what's a better way to express your fandom than to have multiple things related to said anime?

The latest anime to get an associated product is "Magic Kaito 1412." It was recently announced that a music CD featuring character specific songs sang by the Japanese voice cast would be released in Japan on March 12.

Earlier this year, "Magic Kaito" manga creator Gosho Aoyama expressed in an interview what he thought of popular character Kaito Kid:

"Kaito Kid is a very sneaky character. He can disguise himself, and he can change his voice and stuff. It's better if he's an enemy," said Aoyama. "He's too sneaky to be an ally. There are a lot of female fans of his, but I don't plan on bringing him out too much.(wry smile)."

Perhaps this means Kaito Kid, voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi will sing a song that expresses the "sneaky" quality he has.

Anime News Network reports that additional cast expected to make an appearance on the music CD include Aoko Nakamori, who is voiced by M.A.O, and Saguru Hakuba, who is voiced by Mamoru Miyano. Additionally, a new short drama and new jacket art will be included with purchase of the music CD.

Crunchyroll provides the following synopsis for the anime adaptation of "Magic Kaito 1412":

"When Kaito Kuroba‘s father dies under mysterious circumstances, he finds out his father's secret identity; a famous international criminal known as International Criminal 1412: the Phantom Thief, and that he was murdered by a mysterious organization for refusing to aid them in retrieving the "Pandora Gem" - a jewel that grants immortality.

He vows to stop the organization from obtaining the gem, and assumes his father's identity. Kaito researches and steals famous priceless gems with interesting histories from incredibly well-defended areas, but always returns them after the next full moon."

Crunchyroll is currently streaming new episodes of "Magic Kaito 1412" every Saturday at 7am EST.
