JYJ Junsu Casts his Spell in Jakarta

On June 16, JYJ Junsu held his 1st Asia Tour Concert in Jakarta for the first time. His excitement for the concert could be seen ever since the press conference which was held one day before. When the reporter asked why he dyed his hair blue, he said, "Indonesia is an archipelago country, it's surrounded by oceans so I adjusted with it," he said jokingly.

His excitement was not only shown by his blue hair, but also his performances. The concert started with "Breath" and followed by "No Gain." The next two songs, "Lullaby" and "Intoxication" made fans go crazy because of his dance. "Set me Free" followed those two songs and suddenly Junsu disappeared. He went back on stage wearing a white outfit and sang "You are so beautiful" which was a soundtrack from the Korean drama, "Scent of a Woman."

Junsu put a lot of effort to be able to communicate with fans by talking in the Indonesian language. The funny thing was, although Junsu spoke Indonesian during the concert, the fans kept answering him in Korean. Junsu and the interpreter were surprised. "Apa kabare?" says Junsu. "Kalian senang? Saya senang sekali" (How are you? I am Junsu. Are you happy? I'm very happy). Junsu kept saying "Terima Kasih!" (Thank you!) and smiled shyly. He also said, "Saya cinta kalian!" (I love you!) to show his love to the audience for coming to see him.

During his concert in Seoul and Bangkok, Junsu granted 3 wishes from fans. The same thing went for Junsu's concert in Jakarta. The 1st wish, fans asked Junsu to do a cute pose called 'Angel XIA'. Then, fans asked him to do a sexy dance which was welcomed by cheers from the audiences. For the 3rd wish, fans shouted "Naked! Naked!" but the interpreter ignored it and chose other requests, which was for him to shout "Bambaya!!". He did it twice with different tones from the previous, "Bambaya'. "Bamba~~ya~~." Junsu was really happy and stated, "I am really happy. I will come back later," which made the fans cheer.

During the next session, he sang ballads, "Even though You Already Know", "Around and Around" and "The Last Dance", "I am Music", and "Why Don't You Love Me" from his 'Elisabeth' and 'Mozart!' musicals. During the songs, it did not feel like a concert, but a musical. He showed his skill and proved his reputation as one of South Korea's best vocalists.

Junsu made the whole audiences dance when he sang the album title song, "Tarantallegra", followed by "Fever", "Too Love" and "Mission."

Time was moving too fast that the audiences didn't realize that the concert was about to end. When Junsu said, "Here are the last songs," the fans shouted, "Andwae!! Kajima Junsu!!" (No! Don't go Junsu!). The last 3 songs were ballads, "I Dislike Love", "The Tree Covered in Dew" and "Fallen Leaves."

At the end, Junsu bowed 90 degree to the fans and picked up gifts that were thrown by fans on the stage. He did a love sign and said, "Thank you! Bye bye!"

There were some poeple that came to the concert that were not Junsu's fan. They were just there to accompany their children or their girlfriends. But Junsu even captured these people's hearts with his song and dance. The whole audience was put under his spell. Junsu did a good job and left an unforgettable memory for everyone at the concert. We are hoping to see you again with JYJ here, Junsu!
