K-Bands to be Next after Idols for the Hallyu Wave

Japan officials have predicted that Korea bands will be the next big thing for next year.

Recently, a famous record company in Japan visited Korea and asked to meet with bands in different Korean entertainment companies. The official stated, "After researching the Oricon charts, it looks like rock bands will be popular next year."

They believe that instead of stage performances, groups that play instruments will be popular next year. Groups such as FTISLAND and CNBLUE are very popular in Japan due to their rock band style of music.

Currently on the Oricon charts, Japan idol group AKB48, a 48 member group, will be divided into 3 groups and try to take over the market by bringing out rock band style of music. Some Japan companies have asked for rookie bands such as BOB4 to send over files to discuss possible Japan promotions.

'K-Bands' have also been gaining much attention through audition programs such as "Top Band." The winners from these bands will also be holding a concert in Japan this November. These bands are not very well known in Korea, but they are gaining much attention in Japan.

Some K-bands have been receiving love calls from Japan such as Red Apple. Red Apple's agency commented, "It seems that it is time for K-bands to come out. We hope that we can work things out with Japan and possibly go overseas."
