Popular girl group 2NE1 on last night, November 2, made a surprise appearance at Clarke Quay as about 2,000 local fans turned up at the event to support the girls.

The event organized by SingTel at Read Brdige kept the identity of mystery gig a secret until just past 7PM.

The crowed exploded with screams as the foursome mad their appearance performing their songs such as "I Love You" warming up the crowd.

The girls proceeded to perform their song such as "Fire" and "Clap Your Hands."

It seems that some fans have begun speculating that the performers were 2NE1 as Bom and Dara were spotted shopping earlier at Marina Bay Sands.

The girls will perform back in Singapore again on December 1, as part of their New Evolution World Tour.

SingTel's CEO of Singapore Allen Lew shared in a statement, "We have been aware that Singaporeans love K-Pop music. Therefore we were excited to organize such surprise performance to bring fans close and personal to their favorite stars. And we were able to bring the performance to every corner of Singapore."

The performance was aired live via mioTV, as well as on its website and Facebook page. Fans can download the recordings of the performance through SingTel's AMPed music service.
