Tess Holliday - formerly known as Tess Munster - has just made history by being the first plus model of her size and height to be signed to a prominent modeling agency. According to the Huffington Post UK, Holliday is 5'5'' tall, and a UK Size 24 (US size 22), and was previously bullied so badly that she was forced to drop out of school.

The 29-year-old model is currently using her fiancée's surname, and is a mother of one. For most of her life, she was told she was too short and overweight to be a model. However, the tides have changed, as she has now been featured in Vogue Italia, and modeled for dozens of fashion designers.

Most recently, she was signed to MiLK Model Management.  She said of her contract, "I feel like its breaking ground. This is a milestone. I never could have imagined that I could be here."

Despite her humble words, Holliday is already very popular on Facebook and Instagram. According to the New York Daily News, she posts photos of herself flaunting her curves, modeling designer clothes, and with friends, her son and fiancé - all while promoting a positive body image. Holliday captioned a recent photo of herself wearing black lingerie: "I hope this makes you realize that it's okay to be yourself, even if you happen to exist in a fat body."

MiLK Model Management's Anna Shillinglaw stated of Holliday, "I see a lot of negative comments as well, and I ignore those. I know she's healthy and active. We're all built differently. She goes hiking, she's in love, she has a son, she has a gorgeous husband. Maybe people can lose weight if they walked more and ate less, but it's so easy to say that. Everyone has their things in life."
